Robert Whitcomb,'72 JRN, former Providence Journal editor hosts forum on caste system in American society

Join Rhode Island Columbians for a spirited discussion May 16, at the Hope Club about the caste system in American society, sponsored by the Providence Committee on Foreign Relations   

 Robert Whitcomb,'72 JRN and former Vice President/Editorial Page Editor with the Providence Journal newspaper will be our host.   

The evening's speaker is Philip Martin a senior investigative reporter for WGBH. 

Martin's discussion will hinge on his recent reporting about “Caste in America," which explores the Indian caste system and how it extends into America's Indian immigrant community. 

He will also talk about the challenging role of foreign correspondents in contemporary journalism.
